A few weeks back I got a special request from a man who wanted to give his son a custom Shadowmere (a horse from the game Skyrim) for his young son's birthday. I was immediately excited for this project. Every once in a while I get a special request that I love so much, I make it a permanent listing in my shop. I've done other requests that were cool but not quite like this one. I spent three weeks with this guy making him, his tack, his blanket, all the while working with the customer to make sure everything turned out perfectly. The best reward is knowing that his son was SO EXCITED to get this horse that he has been asking non-stop when it will arrive and has apparently memorized my instructions about how to put everything on the horse (I made a video to explain it to him). It turned out so great. I miss him but I know he's going to a good home. I can't wait until someone else orders one...I want to make him again. :)

This is most definitely NOT a diary . . . is what I wanted to title this blog.

Bursting with pride
The other day, someone finally ordered my most amazingly awesome Ink Ribbon plush inspired by the Resident Evil video games (did I ever tell you guys that I have an etsy shop? no? well I have an etsy shop). After having discovered that my sewing machine is really dumb and doesn't want to do the stitching that I used for the lettering on the first one I made, I decided to go with fabric ink instead (after making sure the customer would be alright with said change). Because of this change I went to google to look up images of the ink ribbon again so that I could get the font right. I typed in "resident evil ink ribbon" under images and to my surprise and delight...
...there, at the front of the third row, was my dear little ink ribbon plush. Needless to say, I am bursting with pride for that little guy. I think I might have to put him on my bed to hang out with the wolf pack (and Jackson the dog) for a few days.
I have since changed the ink ribbon in my shop to the newly painted design rather than the stitched one, but my first little plush will always have a special place in my heart. I decided to keep the image in the listing simply because I couldn't bring myself to replace him all together. :) Oh inky, you complete me.
